Which posts published in 2012 proved to be most popular?

These 10 blog posts got the most attention this year. If you haven’t read some of them, make sure to check them out:

  5. 10 Principles of Effective Pricing Pages. This post got to the top of Hacker News in the spring. If you have a dedicated pricing page, read it and take notes.
  6. 10 Useful Findings About How People View Websites. In order to design your site for the users, you need to understand how they view websites.
  7. How to Design User FlowWhenever you’re thinking of revamping a site, start with the user flow design.
  8. 53 Ways to Increase Conversion Rate. Need ideas for A/B testing? Here are 53 of them.
  9. 39 Factors: Website Credibility Checklist. People only buy from you if they trust you. Here’s how to get it.
  10. 9 Things to Know About Influencing Purchasing Decisions. If you want to get people to buy, understand what influences them. 

6 out of 10 post titles have a number in them. Hard to say whether they got more attention because of the number of it just happened that these great posts had a number in them. Go figure.

  1. For me, you can’t beat ’53 ways to increase conversion rates’ but I can see how if you tell people not to do something they think IS the thing to do (a la automatic slider and carousels) then that would top the list.

      Yeah plus the controversy made people share it on Twitter etc (either “I knew it!” or “who would’ve thought!”)
