Tommy evaluates Cheap Recipe Blog, and The Murray Group, an independent insurance agency out of Rochester NY for user friendly & conversion oriented design.

When I judge “user friendly” design, I’m looking for the following factors:

  • Is it easy to read?
  • Are all of the elements in “familiar” places?
  • Are the actions I’m supposed to take simple & clear?

This one was fun for me, because it played so well into the article we recently published on the effect of typography has on user experience, and really drove home the importance of some of our older pieces as well.

Seriously, these funny sound-bites/text-quotes make it unforgettable, which is the point!! Nice one Tommy.

  2. Nice review, but please can you make those links in “bubbles” inside the video/slideshare clickable? Or can you put somewhere link to it?

I wanted read about that proof that slides are killing conversions …

    Thanks.

    1. It is the right link, and normally I try to keep them all clickable, however Youtube wouldn’t let me add any more :-/
