Really useful stuff in this post, big fan of sending form validations into GA (we also post them into HipChat) lets you really drill down on which types of errors impact your conv rate.

    Great article for sure!

I’m a bit curious regarding the manually created funnel you produce. If you could show more in detail how you would make on of those for a larger ecommerce site that would be awesome!

    Cheers

Thanks for putting this together. It gave me some good ideas.

I guess Custom reports will vary from a website to another but I find that a great starting point is the Report(s) that you eager to look at every single day.

    Hey Peep!

I just redesigned my website, started a bit of a stronger ad campaign with google and facebook, and I’m using Optimizely and google analytics.

I am however, somewhat new to the game, and find your site and emails among the best advice in internet marketing (and there’s a lot out there!).

My biggest challenge so far: I am working with the Spanish speaking audience, which isn’t very sophisticated, rarely has a credit card, and has little trust in online payments (and I’m using paypal to boot).

You have worked with Central America, and I need someone with experience in the Latino market. I have a limited budget, but I wonder how much do you charge for 1 on 1 coaching, where you look at all of my analytics, funnels, and even some of my mailchimp data, and give me pointers as to where to make the first optimization explorations.

I have a product I’m really proud of (yoga for back pain). Please let me know what it takes to get your advise privately.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mijael

Very nice list. Craig Sullivan’s report is very similar to the one that I go to most for a few of my clients. There is a ton of great info and I’ve bookmarked this and passed it on to a few others – looking forward to trying out a few of these. Thanks!

Great article! I’ve never used custom reports before but I’m loving them!

The breakdown by mobile device / category is super handy. This post also inspired me to create some of my own (like an Internet Explorer Breakdown which exposed some bugs that need to be fixed)

    Thanks!!

Yes, great idea. All error messages should generate events for GA – otherwise you have no idea how many errors people are getting.
